5 ways to make time for a healthy breakfast

Are you always rushing in the morning to get ready for work and get the kids and family ready for their day as well? Here are 5 ways you can make time in the morning to make sure you still get your healthy breakfast.

1. Plan ahead - Cut up your fruits the night before so they are ready to add to your cereal in the morning. Have your bowl, spoon and cereal out ready to go then just add the fruit when you are ready to eat.

2. Make a smoothie -simply throw all ingredients into your blender and you can drink it on the go. Remember to set up the blender the night before.

3. Get everything for the next day ready before you go to bed – this will leave time in the morning to sit and eat your breakfast. Make sure your clothes are out ready to go, pack your lunch if needed and also those for the kids,

4. If you are really in a hurry, pack a breakfast to go – a tub of low fat yoghurt with a container of almonds and seeds or homemade trail mix, is full of protein and can keep you full until lunch time.

5. Keep it simple – save the complicated cooking breakfasts, like pancakes or eggs for days when you have time to cook. You can also hard boil eggs and eat on the go if needed.
