Social Media vs Reality

I often see posts on social media from fitness influencers showing off their tight and toned bodies. But what I love is the “real” influencers who show the before image of that photo - the one where the pose is just normal and the photo hasn’t been enhanced. There is a huge difference between what you see online versus the reality of images. Don’t compare yourself to these images!

You will often see images of "perfect" women in skimpy clothes. But what you don’t see is the snapshot photo that was taken before the many minutes of posing the correct way to ensure the belly doesn’t stick out, the thighs are angled and the hips are bent, all forming a “better” image.

Also, belly bloating is totally normal for most women, especially after eating. You may have a gut health issue that needs to be resolved, but you will find that most women experience bloating during the week.

If your bloating continues or worsens definitely seek medical advice, but never compare what you look like to someone else’s edited and pinched photos on social media.
