Benefits of Post Natal Exercise

Congratulations! Your new baby has arrived and your family has grown. While your main focus is now on supporting your new baby, it is also important to look after your own health.

Once you have received your 6-week clearance from your doctor, you can safely return to exercise - but it is important that you do this in a safe and guided environment with a qualified post-natal trainer.

There are many benefits to postnatal training - some include:

  • Faster healing and recovery from birth

  • Increased energy to cope with new motherhood

  • Reduced stress

  • Reduced risk of depression

  • Faster return to pre-pregnancy shape and fitness

  • Improved muscle strength

  • Social interaction with other new mums

  • Increased psychological well-being

  • Reduced body aches and pains

  • Increased confidence and self-esteem

  • Bonding time with baby

Our Mums & Bubs classes are run by our Head Trainer who is qualified in both pre and post-natal movement. All sessions are modified to take into account personal postnatal issues (prolapse, pelvic floor, carpal tunnel, hip instability, etc) and you are always guided and watched to perform each technique correctly.
